This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

One of the most magical fulfilling experiences of any creative person is to be in their creative tower into the night creating magical creations that others will later enjoy!
I like to imagine that all creative people live in their own "growing and changing creative castle with many rooms to enjoy and explore". Of course, most creative people will say they don't live in a castle like this. But the castle is symbolic of the creative you! It took me over a year to complete this painting. I completed it in April, 2014. It started as a watercolor painting and eventually was scanned into the computer and finished using Photoshop.
It was created to be an illustration in a book I co-authored and illustrated: Crossing The Troll Bridge: A Marketing Guide for Artists and Writers, by Robin Blakely and Frank Robert Dixon.
About Frank Robert Dixon
As a child Frank Dixon loved to read fairy tales. At age 7 he started writing his own stories and drawing pictures to go with them. His whole life he has loved creating magical fantasy paintings. Some of his most memorable images are of his imaginary Land of Treetch. Treetch are walking, talking tree creatures. Dixon studied art and illustration at Art Center College of Design and received his MFA in fine arts from California State University at Los Angeles. His background ranges from portrait artist on the Queen Mary, to award winning graphic designer/ illustrator for NASA, to a popular art instructor in Southern California.
